Our Wild Church practice centers around 30 minutes of solo time for you to connect with God in creation, through wandering or stillness. We open with prayer and singing, and close with gluten-free communion followed by a lunch potluck.
Hot coffee and tea provided in cooler weather.

singingJune 28th:
Singing at Whatcom Falls Park! 11am Wild Church, then Potluck and Singing! Bring musical instruments! Gather in the grassy field near the parking area at the end of Silver Beach Road- or take the 525 bus and get off by Lafeens and walk down the hill. If you have the Voices Together hymnal, bring your copies so we can sing together during/after the potluck! We're just going to spread out on the grass, so bring camp chairs or picnic blankets. We can also use a shelter if one happens to be free! |
forest bathingJuly 19th:
Forest Bathing on the Fragrance Lake Trail! This will be a hiking Wild Church, so please reach out with your accessibility needs, and if you can offer a ride, need a ride, and/or have the Discover Pass! We will hike gently/slowly and silently, so that we can awaken our senses to our surroundings. Gather at the trailhead at 11am. No potluck this time. On the return hike, you're invited to share your reflections about this experience with your fellow hikers! |
tidepoolsAugust 9th:
Low Tide at Larabee State Beach! Register for free for a Tidepool Outing through Wild Whatcom! Reach out if you can offer a ride, need a ride, and/or have the Discover Pass! It's a free event with the option of a donation (the church also contributed). This event is unfortunately just for adults 18+, but kids are welcome to join us afterwards for a potluck with just our church community, at 1pm! Location details when you register. |
